🚚 CDEK: connection and API keys
CDEK contract, API key in the account (Account and Secure password), warehouse/door tariffs, the EDU test environment, CDEK Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Where it is set up: Control panel → “Shipments” → “Delivery services” button (or the location card → WEB → “Delivery services”).
What you need#
- a CDEK contract for a company or sole trader;
- access to the lk.cdek.ru account;
- the address you hand parcels over from (warehouse, shop or office).
Getting the keys in the carrier account#
- Sign a contract with CDEK: request it on cdek.ru (“For business”) or through your city manager. API keys are not issued without a contract.
- Log in to lk.cdek.ru with the account the contract is registered to.
- Open the “Integration” section and create an API key (if you already have one, use it).
- Copy two values: Account (client ID) and Secure password (secret). Treat the Secure password like a password: do not send it in messengers.
What to enter in the carrier card#

Check#
- Click “Save”.
- Click “Test connection”: rates appear under the card. “Mock mode” means the keys are not connected and the rates are demo.
- Tick “Enable …” in the card — the carrier then appears to buyers at checkout.
Without keys and test mode#
Without keys the card uses CDEK’s training environment and, if it is unavailable, shows demo rates — so you can see delivery on your storefront before the contract. The “Test mode (sandbox)” checkbox sends requests to the api.edu.cdek.ru training environment, which needs separate test keys issued by CDEK (it rejects the demo keys published in its documentation).
Common problems#
- “Connection failed” / invalid_client — the keys are swapped, copied with a space, or “Test mode” is on with live keys. Turn test mode off and paste Account and Secure password again.
- No rates returned — the chosen tariff does not serve this route — also tick “warehouse-door” or check the sender address.
- Shop in Kazakhstan or Belarus — CDEK Kazakhstan (cdek.kz) and CDEK Belarus (cdek.by) are separate companies: Russian account keys do not work there, you need a local contract and account. Getting the keys works the same way.
