Wolt Integration

Connect your restaurant to the Wolt platform to receive delivery orders.


1. Overview

Wolt is one of the largest food delivery platforms in Europe (25+ countries). Integration with Meni allows you to:

  • Sync the menu β€” changes in Meni are automatically updated in Wolt
  • Receive orders β€” orders from Wolt flow into Meni's unified order system
  • Manage the stop list β€” an item in the stop list is hidden in Wolt as well
  • Unified analytics β€” revenue via Wolt is shown in the overall dashboard

2. Requirements

To connect, you need:

  • βœ… A Meni account (plan Basic or higher)
  • βœ… An active Wolt for Merchants account
  • βœ… Access to the Wolt Merchant Portal (merchant.wolt.com)
  • βœ… An API key from Wolt (requested from your Wolt manager)

3. Step-by-step setup

Step 1. Get an API key from Wolt

  1. Log in to the Wolt Merchant Portal
  2. Go to Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ API Access
  3. Click Generate API Key
  4. Copy the key (it is shown only once)

⚠️ If you don't have the API Access item, contact your Wolt manager and request access to the Restaurant API.

Step 2. Connect in Meni

  1. In the Meni admin panel: Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Delivery
  2. Find Wolt β†’ click Connect
  3. Enter:
    • Venue ID (from the Wolt Merchant Portal β†’ your restaurant's URL)
    • API Key (from step 1)
  4. Click Test connection
  5. If the connection is successful: Save

Step 3. Configure menu synchronization

Step 4. Configure order intake

  1. Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Wolt β†’ Orders
  2. Choose the intake method:
    • Automatic β€” orders are accepted immediately
    • With confirmation β€” a manager confirms each order
  3. Set the default preparation time (min)
  4. Select a KDS screen for Wolt orders (or a shared one)

4. Working with orders

Guest orders in Wolt

Displayed on the kitchen KDS screen
       ↓
Kitchen prepares β†’ marks "Ready"

Order statuses

Status in Meni What happens in Wolt
Accepted Wolt starts looking for a courier
Preparing The courier is heading to the restaurant

Rejected Wolt notifies the guest

Differences from regular orders

  • Wolt orders are marked with a purple label 🟣
  • Restaurant price = Wolt price minus commission (15–30%)
  • Preparation time is sent to the courier automatically
  • You can't change an order after confirmation (Wolt limitation)

5. Pricing for Wolt

You can set separate prices for Wolt:

  1. Menu β†’ select an item β†’ Channel pricing
  2. Enable "Separate price for Wolt"
  3. Set the price (usually +15–25% to cover the commission)

Or use a default markup:

  • Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Wolt β†’ Markup: +20%

6. Managing the availability schedule

Set Wolt operating hours separately from your main schedule:

  • Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Wolt β†’ Schedule
  • You can reduce hours (e.g., not accepting delivery during peak time)
  • Emergency shutdown: "Pause Wolt" button (for 30/60/120 min)

7. Wolt analytics

In Analytics β†’ filter "Channel: Wolt":

  • Number of orders via Wolt
  • Average check (before and after commission)
  • Top items on Wolt
  • Comparison with direct orders (via QR)
  • Average preparation time

8. FAQ

How do I temporarily stop accepting Wolt orders?

Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Wolt β†’ Pause (30/60/120 min). Or the "Pause Wolt" button directly from the orders dashboard.

Wolt shows an old menu β€” what should I do?

Click Settings β†’ Integrations β†’ Wolt β†’ Force sync. Updates in Wolt take 5–15 minutes.

Can I use Wolt and my own delivery at the same time?

Yes. Wolt orders and direct orders are shown in one order list, but marked with different colors.

Wolt commission?

Wolt charges 15–30% of the order amount (depends on your contract). Meni shows amounts with and without commission in analytics.
