Chain Management β€” Multi-Location and Franchises

Overview

If you have multiple venuesβ€”a restaurant/cafΓ© chain or a franchiseβ€”Meni lets you manage them from a single admin panel.

Capabilities

Centralized management

  • Unified menu for the entire chain with the option for local changes
  • Different prices by regions/locations
  • Unified customer database with a shared loyalty program
  • Centralized analytics β€” reports for the whole chain and for each venue

Flexibility

  • Each location can have unique items (local specialties)
  • Different currencies for venues in different countries
  • Different languages β€” each location selects its own languages
  • Different opening hours β€” configured per location

Chain structure

Company (your brand)
β”œβ”€β”€ Location 1: Restaurant "Name" β€” Tbilisi
β”‚ β”œβ”€β”€ Menu (inherits the base + its own items)
β”‚ β”œβ”€β”€ Prices (GEL)
β”‚ └── Staff
β”œβ”€β”€ Location 2: Restaurant "Name" β€” Batumi
β”‚ β”œβ”€β”€ Menu (inherits the base + its own items)
β”‚ β”œβ”€β”€ Prices (GEL, seasonal)
β”‚ └── Staff
└── Location 3: Restaurant "Name" β€” Istanbul
β”œβ”€β”€ Menu (inherits the base + its own items)
    β”œβ”€β”€ Prices (TRY)
    └── Staff

Managing the chain menu

Base menu

  1. Create a base menu at the company level
  2. All locations inherit it automatically
  3. Changes to the base menu propagate to all locations

Local changes

Each location can:

  • Hide items (temporarily or permanently)
  • Change the price (for its region)
  • Add unique items (local specialties)
  • Edit the description (e.g., different ingredients)

Synchronization

  • Changes in the base menu β†’ automatically updated in all locations
  • Local changes β†’ are not affected when the base menu is updated
  • Conflicts β†’ local changes take priority

Access management

Roles

Role Access
Owner Full access to all locations and settings
Chain administrator Menu management, analytics, staff across the entire chain
Location manager Full access to their location
Staff member Order taking, working with the menu (no settings)

Assigning staff

  2. Enter email, role, and location
  3. The staff member will receive an invitation and access to their part of the system

Chain analytics

Chain dashboard

  • Total chain revenue
  • Revenue by location
  • Location ranking by metrics
  • Location-to-location comparison

Reports

  • Revenue by location β€” period comparison
  • Average check β€” per location
  • Popular items β€” what sells best in each location
  • Staff KPIs β€” across the whole chain

Franchise

Franchise-specific features

  • The franchisor creates the base menu and standards
  • The franchisee gets access to their location with limited permissions
  • The franchisor sees analytics for the entire chain and controls quality
  • Access levels are configured individually

Whitelabel

  • Custom domain (menu.yourband.com)
  • Custom colors and logo

Staff KPIs

Track for each staff member:

  • Number of orders served
  • Average check
  • Service speed (from order to close)
  • Tips (amount and % of revenue)
  • Guest rating

8. Custom domain and branding

Connecting a domain

  1. Settings β†’ Domain β†’ enter your domain (menu.yourrestaurant.com)
  2. Add a CNAME record in DNS: menu.yourrestaurant.com β†’ cname.meni.ge
  3. The SSL certificate is issued automatically (Let's Encrypt)
  4. The domain will be active in 5–15 minutes

Branding

  • Logo: displayed in the menu header
  • Colors: primary color, accent color, background
  • Favicon: browser tab icon
  • Welcome text: on the menu home page
  • QR code style: colors, shape, logo

9. Offline mode and PWA

The digital menu works as a Progressive Web App (PWA):

  • A guest can add the menu to the phone's home screen
  • The menu is cached β€” works even with poor internet
  • With no connection at all, the last loaded version is shown
  • Auto-update when the connection is restored

For staff

  • The admin panel caches critical data
  • Orders are saved locally and synced when the connection is restored
  • KDS continues to show active orders offline
