Quick Start — First Steps with Meni

Introduction

Meni is a digital menu platform for cafés, restaurants, bars, hotels, and other food service venues. In just a few minutes, you'll create an electronic menu that guests can access via a QR code on any device.

What you'll get

Step 1. Registration

1. Go to admin.meni.ge
2. Click Sign up
3. Enter your email and password (or sign in with Google)
4. Confirm your email via the link in the email

💡 After registration, you'll be taken to the admin panel — your menu control center.

Step 2. Create a location

A location is your venue (restaurant, café, bar, hotel).

1. In the admin panel, click + Add location
2. Fill in the basic details:
   • Name — what your venue is called
   • Address — exact address (will be shown to guests)
   • Logo — upload your venue's logo
   • Cover — main photo (facade, interior)
3. Select menu languages — which languages will be available to guests
4. Click Save

💡 You can create multiple locations if you have a chain of venues.

Step 3. Populate the menu

Create categories

Categories structure your menu (e.g., Breakfasts, Salads, Mains, Desserts, Drinks).

1. Go to the Menu section of your location
2. Click + Add category
3. Enter the name in the primary language — translations into other languages will be generated automatically
4. Optionally upload a category photo

Add items

1. Inside a category, click + Add item
2. Fill in:
   • Name — dish or drink name
   • Description — ingredients, preparation method
   • Price — price in your venue's currency
   • Photo — upload a photo of the dish
3. Click Save — the item will appear in the menu

💡 AI will automatically translate names and descriptions into all selected languages.

Set allergens

For each item, you can specify allergens (gluten, milk, nuts, etc.) — this is important for EU compliance and guest care.

Step 4. Generate a QR code

1. Go to the QR code section of your location
2. Customize the appearance:
   • Color — choose brand colors
   • Logo — add a logo to the center of the QR code
   • Style — square or rounded dots
3. Click Download QR code
4. Print it and place it on tables, counters, and at the entrance

💡 Guests don't need to install an app — the menu opens in a regular phone browser.

Step 5. Review and publish

1. Open your phone camera and scan your QR code
2. Make sure that:
   • All categories and items display correctly
   • Photos are uploaded
   • Translations are correct
   • Prices are up to date
3. Show the menu to your staff for feedback
